Starting school is a very big step, and to get you and your child school-ready take a look at the new CBeebies Learn app and equip your little one with the best resources to get them prepared and have lots of fun.
The CBeebies Learn app, previously known as the Go Explore app, has been made with BBC Bitesize and developed with educational experts to ensure your child has the best learning experience.
Aside from being a well rounded resource that offers lots of fun and learning opportunities for children, the CBeebies Learn app has been designed to help parents, carers and educators find learning activities to support children before they start school. All of the featured games and videos on the app are based on the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage framework - the CBeebies Learn app is rooted in learning and has been developed in collaboration with educational experts.
The app features key learning areas including:
• Literacy – Sounds and Letters
• Maths – Numbers and Shapes
• Communication and Language - Speaking and Listening
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development - Wellbeing and Independence
• Understanding the World - Our World collection and Colours

The app is free of charge, with no adverts or in-app purchases. This provides families and educators with guilt-free screen time where they can be confident that their child is learning and having fun at the same time. Downloaded games can be played offline and on-the-go wherever you are.
The CBeebies Learn app has a variety of fun and interesting learning videos to keep your child entertained. All videos support early childhood development as well as reflect topical events to help your child learn about the world around them.
