Sculpture refers to art made in three dimensions. Martha makes an original sculpture out of recycled paper tableware and tin foil.

Sculpture
Sculpture is a form of three-dimensional art which you can see everywhere.
It can be made from many different materials such as stone, clay, wood or metal.
Wire is sometimes used to make the base of a sculpture and papier mache or mod roc can be used to build up the surface.

You can sculpt anything
Sculptures can be of anything i.e. an object, person or animal.
Artists usually draw sketches before making their sculptures.
They can be made by carving, modelling or placing materials together.

What is papier mache?
Papier-mâché, or what's more commonly searched for as papier mache, is a technique that uses mashed up paper mixed with glue or paste so that it can be moulded into three-dimensional objects.
Artists use papier mache for all kinds of wild creations.
While it can definitely get messy, you too can join the fun by making your own artwork with it!
