Inflation rate in Guernsey drops to 4.2%

There were increases in the costs of mortgages, rents and house insurance

The inflation rate in Guernsey has slowed to 4.2%, according to the latest figures.
In the 12 months to March 2025, the Retail Price Index (RPI), which illustrates the cost of living in Guernsey, was 1.6% lower than during the previous year.
The figures showed housing contributed to 1.4% of the annual change in the inflation rate.
Within the housing group of prices, there were increases in the costs of mortgages, rents and house insurance.
