Cerys welcomes Piers Faccini and Ballaké Sissoko to perform live at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios.
Born in London and raised in France, musician and writer Piers Faccini met Ballaké Sissoko in the early 2000s through the record label Leu Bleu. Ballaké is from Mali and plays the kora, a 21-stringed harp-like instrument from West Africa. The pair recorded their collaborative album Our Calling live to tape over the course of five days in Paris. They perform two tracks from their new album as well as a classic blues cover and discuss their blues influences with Cerys.
