Elite runner's top tips for marathon prep

Elite runner Anya Culling shares her tips on how to successfully prepare for a marathon.

Days before the London and Manchester marathon, she tells Nicky Campbell, “Start carb loading now, if you already haven’t. Carbohydrates are a primary energy source”.

She explains the benefits of having energy gels, “you should be topping up those glycogen stores”.

Anya also says a good secondary source of energy can be found from foods with healthy fats like salmon, avocado and olive oil.
