Key facts about close-up photography

The flower is so enlarged that it is like viewing it from the perspectiveA particular point of view. of a small insect.
The flower fills the frameThe total area of a visual image. and goes right to the edges. Some parts of the flower are even going outside the edges of the frame.
Close-up photography is all about taking a photograph so that something looks much larger than it actually is. The result is an extreme close-up of something small.
Extreme close-up photography is also known as macro photography. Flowers, plants and leaves make good subjects for macro photography.
You can take close-up photographs of anything you find interesting.

Ideas for close-up or macro photography
Image caption, You could take close-up photographs of zips on clothing or bags, something that you wouldn't usually take time to notice. Your photograph might be able to showcase the metal and how the light shines on it. You might be able to take a photograph that shows all the small scratches and marks on the surface.

Laura: Let's take a close-up look at close-up photography. It can show us details we might not see with our eyes and it can make really interesting art.
All you need is a phone. Choose an interesting object you'd like to photograph.
Look at this plant! I bet it has some interesting details. I'm going to use it as my subject.
Also, I need a source of light to make sure I can see the item clearly.
You could do this outdoors or by a bright window, but I'm going to use this lamp. How I light it will really change how it looks.
Get as close as possible without the image going blurry. That's called keeping it in focus.
Try different angles and ways of framing your picture to see how that changes the result.
