Let's get started with...

If it is your very first time on the game you will play through the tutorial. Here you will learn the basics such as how to move around the garden, place items and welcome your very first hedgehog guests!

After the tutorial, you can choose from two modes: Campaign and Free Play.

There's no point building an amazing garden if the hedgehogs can't access it, right? Well this is where the path comes in handy. Each path tile costs just 5 coins...and you need to make sure all your attractions and stalls are joined to a path so the hedgehogs can enjoy them!

These three bars show you all the important information you will need as you build up your garden...especially if you're playing in campaign mode! They show the number of hedgehog coins you have, how happy your hedgehog visitors are and how many hedgehogs are in your garden.

You can check these stats at any point to see whether you are close to reaching the target set for the level you are on. For example to complete a level, you might need to attract 15 hedgehogs to your garden.

Okay so you have your path ready...now it's time to attract some hedgehogs! There are several different attractions you can choose from, but make sure you check out the cost to build them before diving straight in and choosing your favourite.

Attractions include flower beds, veggie patches, hedgehog homes and a hedgehog playground.

The more attractions you have in your garden, the more hedgehogs will come and visit. BUT if you keep buying attractions you will soon run out of coins...which is why you also need to build stalls!

If attractions bring in hedgehogs, then stalls are what makes them want to stay! You wouldn't want to visit a theme park only to find there were no rides to go on, right!?

Just like attractions, each stall costs a different amounts of coins...so make sure you choose wisely.

Each hedgehog that visits your garden brings along hedgehog coins to spend at the stalls. Stalls range from tasty beetle burgers and caterpillar curry to a water fountain and souvenir shop. A good mix of stalls will ensure you make lots of money to spend on your garden.

Your attractions and stalls need to be well looked after to keep your hedgehogs happy. No one wants to queue at the creepy-crawy cafe only to find they've run out of food...or visit the playground but find the swings are broken!

Every so often you will need to re-stock your food and drink stalls as well as your shops. You will also need to look after your flower beds, veggie patches and clear leaves from your paths. And of course, all this will cost you hedgehog coins!

So make sure you always have a little spare cash for stock and maintenance or your hedgehogs could become unhappy and leave the garden!  

As you build up your garden there are different types of alerts that could pop-up on the screen. Lets go through them one by one...

When you choose to build a path, attraction, stall or decoration (on to these in a mo), there is always a risk of finding a problem when you start digging. This could be something like a burst water pipe or an encounter with some pesky moles! You will have to use some coins to repair the damage.

If you're thinking, 'hey that's not fair, I didn't know what was there', then you will definitely want to add an inspection to your build. By clicking on the little eye symbol, you will be able to inspect the area before you start digging and avoid these problems. It will cost a little more if you choose to use the inspection tool, but it could save you lots of money in the long run!

There's another good reason to use the inspection tool too...you might find something really valuable like a Blue Peter Script or Henry's favourite ball! You'll be rewarded with some coins for helping out the Blue Peter crew!

So you've built your attractions and stalls, you have lots of adorable hedgehogs in your garden and the money is rolling in...now what? Well, now it's time to let loose and have some fun with decorations!

With colourful mushrooms, cute glowing lights and of corse we can't forget the very smart Henry statues, decorations really bring your garden to life...and they might just make your guests a little happier too!

You can add decorations at any point in the game, just remember to check the cost of them first. You don't want to be caught short when your water fountain needs refilling!
