The station offers a range of news and information about the editorial area along with national and international news. The programmes range from 90 minutes speech on the weekday breakfast show through to an afternoon mix of celebrities, local people and places of interest.

BBC Radio Wiltshire reflects local sport with football commentaries on every Swindon Town game, plus reports on a range of other sporting activities. If it's happening in Wiltshire, you're bound to hear about it on one of our programmes.

History of BBC Radio Wiltshire

BBC Radio Wiltshire was launched on April 4th 1989. It wasn’t long before the station developed a large and loyal following which it still enjoys. The style and sound of the station has changed over the years, but listeners remain at the heart of all we do.
