The minister of Fitzroy, Rev Steve Stockman, recalls his annoyance and complaints when he discovered that the Belfast Half Marathon would make it very difficult for the congregation to get to Church. A friend pointed out that there was another way and he realised that the runners passing Fitzroy offered a point of contact and Fitzroy members now cheer the runners on and offer refreshment and a carefully curated music playlist.
