'I seem to be defying the odds' - Neighbours actor

Australian actor Ian Smith, better known around the world as Harold Bishop in Neighbours, was diagnosed with a rare terminal lung cancer in 2024.

He was given until March 2025 to live, but after receiving immunotherapy treatment, his cancer is now almost impossible to see on scans.

Speaking to 5 Live's Adrian Chiles, Ian said he is "not unhappy" about "defying the odds".

He also revealed the one purchase he's "determined" to make before he dies.
